This Next Spotlight Goes to Our Executive Vice President: Will Schiller
What has motivated you to want to be apart of the sports industry?
I believe that there are few things as powerful (and inspiring) than sport. It lifts us up when we're down, it brings smiles to our faces, it creates memories that last a lifetime, and so much more.
What is your biggest dream?
To be an astronaut!
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Be yourself, and keep your head down and work hard.
If you could describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be and why?
Passionate, Loud, Organized. I'm passionate because I get really into things. I am loud, and that's self explanatory. I believe my organization is what allows me to be myself.
What is one of your goals for GWSBA this semester?
I want to attract a bunch of new members and connect new sport interests!
What do you enjoy most about GWSBA?
The people, the work, and the events.
How have your proffesional experiences impacted where you are today?
My professional experiences have showed me not only what type of working environment I want to be in, but also how to interact with colleagues and how to improve. Furthermore, I believe that if I had not done competitive analysis at the Dock House, the ball never would've started rolling for my love for accounting!
What is one thing we should absolutely know about you?
I have an awesome dog named Ginger who is 11 years old and is my pride and joy.
What is something you would tell your younger self right now?
Always volunteer to go the extra mile - it is noticed.
If you could meet one athlete in any sport, who would it be and why?
Henrik Lundqvist because he's my favorite athlete ever. Or Derek Jeter.
