What has motivated you to want to be a part of the sports industry?

I grew up watching, playing and just consuming sports. When I was younger I would memorize baseball statistics and history of the Mariners and knew I wanted to do something in sports in my future. I also did a bunch of coaching in baseball and football and enjoyed that leadership role in sports. I wanted to find an industry where I could combine my interest in business entrepreneurship and sports.

What is your biggest dream?

Be able to purchase or be a part-time owner of a professional sports team.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

If you do what you enjoy you will never work a day in your life.

If you could describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be and why?

Driven, Innovative, and Hard-working. My entire life I have just put my nose to the ground and work hard. I try to be the best in everything I do, and want to create something of my own. I also believe it is important to think outside the box and do something unique.

What is one of your goals for GWSBA this semester?

Grow membership by a good amount, and create opportunities financially to do great events.

What do you enjoy most about GWSBA?

The connections and network you are able to build with like minded individuals. I believe one of the best parts about college is the ability to grow your network with other people, and GWSBA allows you to do this with a specific group of people who all want to help each other get into the sports industry.

How have your professional experiences impacted where you are today?

I believe my professional experiences have taught me the importance of working hard and also of creativity. All the organizations I have worked in have been startups ranging from the very beginning to working at a company that got valued at over one billion dollars giving me a wide range of experience in startups and the creativity and passion needed for success.

What is one thing we should absolutely know about you?

I will help anyone, and will always have a conversation with anyone. I love learning about people and their life experiences. I am always curious.

What is something you would tell your younger self right now?

Keep working hard. You may not take the obvious and easy path but you will find your passion.

If you could meet one athlete in any sport, who would it be and why?

Hakeem Olajuwon. He played for the Houston Rockets and had possibly one of the greatest playoff runs in history. He also helped grow basketball globally and especially in Africa as he was born in Lagos, Nigeria.
