Q: How did you get into sports?

A: I followed the Falcons during the 2012 NFC Championship Game run, and when the Falcons beat the Seahawks in the divisional round on a game winning field goal; I knew I was hooked.

Q: Who is your role model in the sports industry?

A: Howie Roseman. He never played football, but he’s become one of the smartest and well-respected General Managers in the NFL today.

Q: What made you want to work in the sports industry?

A: On a macro scale, sports is all about bringing people together. It’s one of the biggest uniting forces in the world today, so to play a part in that mission (through whatever means) is always a goal.

Q: What is something you wish you had known about going into the industry before college and applying to internships?

A: Two things. One:  it’s a very tough industry to break into, and isn’t always the most glamorous right away. Two: you can always the sports industry, because at the end of the day, it is a business. Make sure to keep developing your skills to make yourself more valuable as the industry progresses.

Q: What is your dream job?

A: GM of the Atlanta Falcons

Q: How will your previous experiences on the SBA E-Board, help you in your current role?

A: I learned last year the importance of communication within an EBoard, which is something I want to get better at myself this semester.

Q: What are your expectations for the upcoming year with the SBA?

A: I am very excited with all the things the SBA has in store for this semester. It will be challenging, especially with COVID, however, I think we have an incredible group of people on E-board.

Q: What kinds of events do you want the SBA to have this year that it hasn’t done in recent years or ever done at all?

A: I think a series of events with different orgs across campus that are not necessarily involved in sports or business would be incredibly beneficial. There are sports fans everywhere, but not many people may know how they can apply sports to their other passions. A series of events that highlights the presence of sports in every discipline of life can be an eye opening experience.

Q: What experiences do you have working in the sports industry?

A: I was an intern at IMG College (now Endeavor) in 2018, and last year I worked as a Grassroots Marketing and Projects Assistant for the Atlanta Basketball Host Committee (group in charge of marketing and organizing the 2020 Final Four in Atlanta)

Q: What is a fun fact about yourself?

A: I fenced for 2 years in high school
